Upgrade

Bah,I couldn't get annual leave for today, as the library is short-staffed. Although my boss said if I get all my work done today and Celia the other supervisor comes back from sick leave, I may get tomorrow off. We just got our upgrade to windows XP, but they've set the settings to the yucky grey colour scheme. Also you can't change the appearance and themes ie you can't have a screen saver or any pretty colours! So unfair. Although I managed to save picture as a desktop background, so my computer is somewhat pretty. I have lots of lovely plants around my desk now as the gardener was giving away free pot plants. I'm content here, but I'd still like some time off. Off to watch more Lost at Sharleen's tonight. My co-worker Scott keeps on threatening to tell me what happens! Although he's being nice and said he'd go and buy me Subway for lunch. Such a sweetie!

No, some lovely green leavy ones. I have to have durable plants because i'm only here part time so i can't water them every day.

What? You don't appreciate the strict, ordered utilitarian appearance of the supposedly "classic" theme available in WinXP? The theme which is just another fuzzy rehash of the Win2k theme, which is a mockery of the beauty of the 9x sharpness. A true injustice I scream.

But you have potplants. I don't have potplants. I like potplants. But I have none :(

Just colour in the edges of the monitor with bright colours. Or get a magnet. Then you'll have pretty colours on the screen ;p

Aww, you should get some plants. They makes such a difference. I love my little plants. I've got 5 pretty good sized plants around my desk.
